  • The parton must show his/her valid campus card or institutional library card at the Circulation Counter or self-check kiosks,  to check out library items. 
  • The loan period of some collections, such as current journals and magazines (except newspapers), is 3 hours, while these collection could be ONLY renewed once.
  • Checking out quotas and loan periods are as follows:

  • Please refer the details of the loan rule at MUST Library Loan Rule for Users.
  • The parton may check out the attachements ,such as CD-ROMs, of general books at the Circulation Counter.
  • The parton should make sure that the library items checked out are in good condition before they leave the Circulation Counter.

The parton may hold a request of a library item which is borrowed by others through the following ways,

  • Hold a request at the Circulation Counter.
  • Hold a request online by self-services at http://library.must.edu.mo
  • The Library will inform the parton by his/her campus e-mail when the item is available. The item will be reserved at the Circulation Counter for three days from, and including, the first e-mail notice being sent out.
  • A first-come-first-served policy will be adopted in this service if more than one patrons request the same item.

   The parton may renew the checked out item(s) through the following ways:

  • Renew at the Circulation Counter;
  • Renew online by self-services at http://library.must.edu.mo
  • Call the Circulation Services Hotline at 88972086;
  • Send an e-mail at library_cir@must.edu.mo one day in advance; partons should provide valid campus card number and the barcode number for each book you want to renew, and receive a confirmation email.

Notices:

  • The parton may renew the library item(s) checked out for unlimited times, and the loan period remains the same as the first time.
  • No item checked out will be renewed if it has been requested or is overdue.

  • The checked out item(s) should be returned on or before the due date.
  • A fine will be levied for overdue items. If the item(s) is/are returned in 3 days after the due date, the fine may be waived; otherwise the fine will be accumulated on a daily basis from the first day overdue.
  • When a due date falls on a public holiday or a university holiday, the parton may return the library item(s) on the first working day after the holiday.
  • The parton may also returned the item(s) via 24 Hours Self-Return Kiosk outside the library.
 

To insure your checking in, the Library staffs will double check and collect the item(s) from the Self-Return Kiosk(s) at following hours,

Put iterms into the book drop and take the receipt.

Notices:

  • The parton do not need to show his/her valid campus card when he/she return library item(s).

  • All library notices, including coming due alert, hold pick-ups, recalls and overdues, are sent to the library parton via campus email.
  • The parton should always keep the contact information available. If it is changed, please come to the circulation counter to update your personal information as soon as possible.
