Library Document Delivery Services

To fulfill academic information needs, especially of research, the university library launched our document delivery service from mid-April 2010. In 2011, library processed 73 teachers and postgraduate students request, and delivered more than 1,400 full-text articles through this service.

Service Profile

In compliance with the premise of copyright and intellectual property, the Document Delivery service obtains library resources, such as papers, book chapters, for research and study through the cooperation libraries and institutions.

We collaborate with many university libraries, public libraries, and other information institutions to carry out extensive cooperation, and provide more than 100,000 journals, hundreds of thousands of books (copyright protection agreement only the full text of the chapters) as well as a variety of other types of Document Delivery Service.

Resource Types

Including journal papers, conference papers, theses and dissertations, book chapters, reports, patents and so on.

Service Modes

The patron need to provide the documents bibliographic information (such as author, title, and other information of sources) through abstracts or indexes from subscribed databases, and submitted to the library reference unit to apply the full texts.

Generally, the Library will handle the DDS request immediately. We try our best to delivery full text article to you within 3 days by email. If it takes more than 3 days, we’ll also email to you for the reason.

Costs and Quantity Limitations

DDS is one of the best cost/effective way to get full-text contents. To encourage the patrons to use this service, we offer  certain amount of full-text papers which is free to the patrons and paid by the University. This quota of free full-text papers differs from faculty members to students as follows:

  • Faculty members: 50 free papers per year;
  • Doctoral Students: 30 free papers per year;
  • Mater Students: 20 free papers per year.

The cost beyond the quota will be paid by the patron. According to the average of the costs are now tentative charges for this part of the literature is the MOP2.00 / page.
