Disciplinary competitiveness is a reflection of a university's core strength. The overall development of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) is inseparable from the coordinated progress and comprehensive improvement of its various disciplines. Accurately grasping the current state of disciplinary development and assessing disciplinary competitiveness are crucial for optimizing the disciplinary layout and promoting disciplinary development.

To support MUST's disciplinary construction and strategic development, the library offers a disciplinary competitiveness analysis service. Relying on comprehensive and authoritative academic resources such as Scopus, Web of Science, and CNKI, and employing scientific bibliometrics and data analysis methods, the service systematically evaluates and benchmarks disciplinary performance from multiple dimensions, including research output, academic influence, and international cooperation. This provides objective data support for university decision-makers, departmental management, and research teams.
