Learning Literacy Lecture Series | Macau University of Science and Technology Library

In an era of information explosion and rapid knowledge iteration, "learning" has long transcended the boundaries of classrooms and textbooks. Learning Literacy is the core competency system supporting contemporary learners in complex learning environments—it is not merely the skill of retrieving information, but a comprehensive quality integrating digital literacy, data literacy, media literacy, and collaborative capabilities, with information literacy as the "meta-literacy."

True learning literacy manifests in: flexibly selecting strategies in diverse learning contexts, critically evaluating and creating knowledge amid the torrent of information, co-constructing wisdom through collaborative communities, and possessing metacognitive abilities to reflect on and regulate one's own learning.

In short, this is the lifelong ability to "learn how to learn," the critical thinking and adaptability to face unknown challenges.

"The following lectures and activities are carefully designed around various dimensions of learning literacy, from resource retrieval to tool application, from individual study to community collaboration, helping you build your own learning ecosystem."
