MUST Heritage Collection

The MUST Heritage Collection aims to comprehensively collect, preserve, and showcase the scholarly achievements and physical materials produced by Macau University of Science and Technology's faculty, students, and alumni. By establishing this special collection, we document the university's development and highlight our campus spirit. The collection provides faculty and students with a platform to display their academic achievements and also serves as an important window for researchers and visitors to gain a deeper understanding of our university.

📚 The MUST Heritage Collection includes, but is not limited to, the following publications and documents:

  • Officially published books: books published domestically and internationally, including monographs, edited works, translations, textbooks, reference materials, collections of works, classical text compilations, etc.;

  • Open internal works: documents such as research reports, teaching cases, patents, conference papers, etc.;

  • Historical objects of the university: correspondence, manuscripts, notes, artwork, images, awards, certificates, and appointment letters related to the academic activities of the university's faculty, staff, and alumni;

  • Publications by the university or about university history: books, periodicals, newspapers published in the name of the university and/or its affiliated institutions, or those that record the historical development of the university and/or its affiliated institutions.

Collection Display [↑]

The MUST Heritage Collection is displayed on dedicated shelves on the first floor of MUST Library (Block N). It is organized in the following five sections:

1. Faculty and student publications: mainly publications by MUST faculty and students that were donated to the library. These publications are organized by discipline and institution;

2. Alumni publications: mainly publications by MUST alumni that were donated to the library, also including other valuable publications donated by alumni;

3. University publications and Library publications: academic works published in the name of the university and/or its affiliated institutions, and academic publications by the MUST Library and/or its librarian;

4. Special donated books: Valuable publications donated by individuals who support the Macau University of Science and Technology;

5. Academic books display.

Items in the MUST Heritage Collection can be searched in the MUST library online catalog (https://libsearch.must.edu.mo). Where intellectual property rights permit, relevant data will be included in the MUST Achievement, and some historical objects will be collected in the MUST History and Achievements Exhibition Hall.

The library will organize events and exhibitions from time to time, inviting faculty, students and the public to visit and appreciate the MUST Heritage Collection.

  

How to donate? [↑]

The MUST Heritage Collection continuously seeks contributions from faculty, staff, students, and alumni. We sincerely welcome donations of publications, research outputs, and related materials to help build a comprehensive collection representing the intellectual heritage of the MUST community.

📚 Collection Scope

Published WorksMonographs, edited works, translations, textbooks, teaching reference materials, collected works, classical literature compilations, and other publications issued domestically and internationally.
Research and Teaching OutputsProject reports, teaching cases, patents, conference papers, and other valuable materials related to teaching and research activities.
Academic Objects and MemorabiliaCorrespondence, manuscripts, notes, artistic works, photographs, awards, certificates, appointment letters, and other items related to the academic activities of university faculty, staff, and alumni.
University-Related PublicationsBooks, journals, newspapers, and other publications organized by the university or authored by university personnel; publications focusing on the university's history, notable figures, and development.

  

Donation Methods [↑]

🏢 In-Person DonationCurrent faculty, staff, and students may submit their works directly to Room N105, Macau University of Science and Technology Library.
