Hey there! This is the Sanyu Reading Society, a cozy reading corner initiated by the Library. Our name comes from a story about Dong Yu, a scholar from the Eastern Han Dynasty. He said: "Winter is the surplus of the year, night is the surplus of the day, and rainy days are the surplus of fine weather."These seemingly "leftover" moments—winter days, nighttime, rainy afternoons—are actually perfect for reading.

We believe you don't need to sit stiffly at a desk to read. You just need a little spare time and a heart willing to slow down.
